|
|
As the past few weeks have gone, we have been adding shows, almost every couple of days, and now the last dates for the Legends of Rock have been finalised for 2009.
We have been working extremely hard behind the scenes trying to get this tour together at a cost of thousands and thousands of pounds, thanks to Lloyd @ Legends of Rock.
The last date for 2009 has been added at Southampton Guildhall which shows the intentions of this promoter, and in a month or so, new dates for 2010 will be added, full page adds will be posted in Kerrang, and radio adds and plans to put on a New huge outdoor festival in Kent next summer, consisting of big, past and present original bands, as well as loads of top rock tribute bands.
The six or so bands playing these shows are Higher on Maiden, Mentallica, Bon Giovi, Hells Bells, Snakebite and Dizzy Lizzy, and some shows with Ozzmosis.
There will also be a "LEGENDS OF ROCK" fan club where fans will have a number, their own personal number, where every month top prizes will be won.
Tickets for the shows are priced at a very fair £19, for six top bands, all playing an hour set. Great value for money! There will be a brand new Monsters website added for fans to keep in touch within the monsters group.
Legends of Rock 2 is at Dublin on June 20th details are at: http://www.legendsofrock.ie/
Also shows are being planned for all across europe, so to expand the brand to our continental neighbours.
This is an idea we have always had as a band, we also know other promoters have looked at it, but it does take a lot of planning and resources to do, so again all credit goes to Lloyd, and the Monsters of Rock group, for their vision and bravery for taking it on.
We have been playing the Tribute circuit for 14 years, and personally we think it had found it's level, and it really needed a facelift, the Monsters of Rock tour is not just about 6 bands playing great music, it will bring a bit of humour and glamour with competitions, glamour models, top prizes, new fan clubs and a good variety of bands, at some great venues across the UK.
We hope we will see you at one of them.
